Christmas Tree

Despite the pouring rain we went and got our Christmas tree and got it all set up! The boys were so so excited this year it was a lot of fun! I couldn't get the ornaments out fast enough for them, and even though its a little bottom heavy, and my OCD wants to redo it all when they go to bed, I'm leaving it because its too sweet! Now all we need is a baby :)

A little visit

We got to spend some time with Pete and Emily and the girls while they were up last week. They had a timeshare up at the lake that they were using so Ed went snowboarding with Pete a few days and we were able to get together a few other times for lunch and dinner to hang out- the kids are getting too big...

The Truman Show Begins...

It really is turning into quite the show with our little Truman Boy, yesterday morning I lost my plug and so we got the hospital bag and carseat in the car and were waiting on a call from the doc (I didn't lost the plug before hand with they other boys so I wasn't sure what to expect) after 2 hours I called again and was told to just relax and wait for the next signs of labor which might not come for weeks still. With a little disappointment we moved on with our day. I actually went into work with Ed to take mind off of things and the kids stayed home with grandma and papa for a few hours. I wasn't contracting at all which was kinda funny because I've been having all kinds of contractions this whole pregnancy! So we went by the store and then home and decided to go out to dinner with Pete and Emily while they're up visiting. At about 6 I started feeling some contractions but didn't think too much about them, we got to La Ferme (a fancy, delicious little restaurant in Genoa) around 6:30 and by 8:15 I though I better start tracking these contraction that were starting to take my breath away. They were coming about 2 and half minutes apart but we continued through dinner with the hilarious and kind basque owner who said he's delivered 3 babies before, one right there in the restaurant , and at about 9:30 with finished it up and figured we better head to the hospital. We went up to labor and delivery and got hooked up to be monitored around 10:15 and the contractions were coming close and strong! We were so excited and thinking this is it we're going to have this baby by morning! Let me back up just a bit, I was 35 weeks on Tuesday and saw my doctor on wed and she told me that he's probably over 6lbs and she wouldn't stop my labor now at this point- so with that in mind I figured we were good to go. Well they don't call your doctor until you're admitted and the on call doctor decided he wanted to try and stop the contractions since I wasn't quite 36 weeks. They gave me a shot of something that wasn't very pleasant, it made me feel like a drank a whole lot of coffee- my heart was pounding out of my chest and my hands were shaking like crazy and the worst part (to us at the time) was that it worked, it stopped my contractions completely and we were sent home on bed rest for the weekend at 12:30am. We were bummed but also trying to focus on the fact that it is best that he does stay in here as long as possible, there's just been so many alarms with this pregnancy and since I thought we were cleared to go basically I was feeling pretty overwhelmed and frustrated that its back to the waiting game. I know that The Lord has the perfect time for little Truman to enter the world and it just wasn't last night, so I trust in Him and continue to pray for a healthy baby and a quick and safe delivery. I'm dilated to a 3 and 80% thinned so I think when it does happen its going to happen fast! So that sums up our Truman Show part one! Hopefully this is only a two parter and the next one is where he comes out :)

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving time already! We had a very nice day Thursday, I really wanted to watch the Macy's parade with the boys so we cuddled up in the back room while football was going in the living room and watched for a little while before the boys were over it and ended up with Ed in the football room ha! That's ok though I guess it's probably good they prefer that over a parade. Then we slowly got ourselves ready and headed over to my aunt and uncles house for dinner. Dinner was delicious as always; three huge turkeys to choose from and all the goodies to go with, I was in a food coma in no time and the boys were in pie heaven with all the different ones to chose from! Then we came home around 6 and pretty much crashed for the night ;)

33 Weeks

We're getting so close to meeting little Truman! I'm getting so excited, anxious, nervous and pretty much any other emotion you can think of. It's gone by so quickly though and for that I am very thankful! I can't wait to have my 3 boys together and all the joy that that brings!

Jumpy Guy Game

These two kids crack me up, we have a video game called Little Big Planet for the ps3 that's a kid game, and for the most part it's just a low stress pretty much need to only push x to jump (hence, they call it the jumpy guy game) and over to run. The boys were pretty terrible at it at first but mason's really getting the hang of it and even Waylon has come a long way. It's been kind of good for them too because when way gets stuck mason is, for the most part, really good with him, he'll take his control and get him unstuck and then give it back or he'll try to explain to him what he needs to do to get out (that cracks me up)! Who said video games are bad? Now, I'd be lying if it didn't always end when masons patience run dry or Waylon's attention span wonders to the next thing, but its a fun way to spend a cold winter morning.

First snow 2012

The boys were so excited this morning when they noticed a dusting of snow on the grass, it reminded me of how excited I used to get (and still kinda do) as a kid when it would snow- the anticipation of getting out there is almost torture! I made cinnamon rolls and orange julius's for breakfast and the snow was beginning to disappear but then, just when their disappointment was settling in, it opened up and is dumping snow as I write and watch the boys run around out there. Too fun, although I don't know why their first reaction is to lay in it but none the less they are quite happy!

Truman's Baby Shower

This weekend a sweet friend of mine from church threw me a sweet shower to help prepare for Truman's arrival since it has been a few years since my last baby. It was such a lovely shower, she decorated everything so cute with all kinds of trucks and had this cute onesie banner and balloons- it was great! And I got all kinds of fun things, Truman is a lucky guy!

Halloween

The Holidays seem to get more and more fun each year as the boys get older, and especially this year with mason in his pre k class. We made cupcakes and he got to wear his costume to school and thought that was so fun. Then that night we took our little captain America and iron man back to the school for some trunker treating there. Afterwards I wanted to go to our friends old neighborhood because we've spent the last 3 halloweens there and I was feeling sad that they weren't here to trick or treat with. So we went over there and did 4 houses and I was beat once again so we went home and cuddled up to watch The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.

Number 3 is on his way!

So I thought I should jot down the fact that I'm pregnant, ha! Baby boy number 3, Truman, is due New Year's Day but I'm certain we'll be meeting him before Christmas. I'm so excited to be having 3 little boys, ill admit I was wanting a girl so badly but The Lord has really brought my heart to full contentment and pure joy in being a mom to 3 boys. I'm 32 weeks and already so anxious to meet him and see if he'll look like my fair skinned curly headed Mason or my dark skinned dark straight haired Waylon or if he's going to take on a look of his own somewhere in between.

5 years old!

It's sounds funny even saying but I have a 5 year old and he loves dinosaurs! Anything dinosaur is a must in our these days so I thought what better way to celebrate the big 5th birthday than with a special dino party. I started planning a few months in advance because each birthday seems to sneak up on me, Ed thought I was nuts when in August I was planning my menu but I'm glad I did. We had it all, from dinosaur shaped foods, to dinosaur for the kids to paint, I even made some Dino teeth necklaces and Dino eggs with a baby dinosaur inside! It was the first birthday that he's had friends over so I wanted to make sure fun was had by all so we even talked dad into a piƱata! I was exhausted by the end of the day but I think Mason really enjoyed his day.
