5 Years

I just don't know where the time has gone but Ed and I just got to celebrate our 5 year anniversary! I could not ask for more in husband, he is so great to the the boys and I and I love him more now than ever! We were able to go out to dinner and have a night to ourselves while mom and dad took the boys for the night. It was very nice!

Misc and Random Post

I haven't blogged in so long that as it is the last 8 post were quite the accomplishment but there's some really cute pics and a few little things that I want to throw in here... So there's going to be some pics of the boys in their little suites, I'm really enjoying having my two boys, as much as I would love to have a little girl to put in dress, I'm equally enjoying the fun suite and ties. Then I've been making tie blankets, Steph did one and she told me how to do it so it's become my newest crafty thing, it takes an hour to throw one of those together compared to the months it takes me to knit or crochet one so I've been enjoying making those, I've done about 10 now, I wish I would've taken pictures of all of them but they'll be few here too. Also we had to give our second dog Henry back the shelter, that was kind of sad, but he was just WAY to high maintenance, he destroyed are yard, chewed everything, got out and killed our neighbors chicken (that was the straw that broke this camels back) so we had to give him back. Also I've had pink eye, now that is fun! HA! No it has been absolutely miserable, I wouldn't wish this on anyone my eyes have been oozy , swollen, itchy, neon red and ugly as all get out. And then on top of it I had a virus (hence the pin eye) that also gave me a sore throat that looks and acts like strep but had no treatment and I tell ya there were a few nights that hurt so bad it brought me to tears. It's been really icky but I think its all better now but boy oh boy i hope that was a once in a lifetime thing. And last little random tidbit, usually by now we are buried in snow but this year I haven't seen more than a flake or two and that was months ago, I love the winter and snow but I must admit has been nice, we've gone to the park and been playing outside everyday so there's a few pics of that too. Enjoy...

New Years Eve

New Years was another fun time for us. Since mom and dad had just gotten back from there two week vacation excursion she wasn't doing tamales this year so we went over to Nate and Jen's where Jen was doing them. The boys loved it this year, the spread their masa and the husk and enjoyed eating their "mollies" as the called them. Then we ate and played a few games. We made it until 11 and then came home to put the boys to bed. Ed and I ended up playing video games until 2 am and completely missed the whole ball dropping new years eve experience but we didn't mind ;) fun times!

Christmas Time

Alright, so as always Christmas time is filled with many activities and get togethers so here's how it went this year for us and the pics are a little out of order but that's ok....

Jen wanted to take the boys to do build a bear for their Christmas present, and what a fun idea that was, they loved it! They picked out their little stuffed animals and got to step on the pedal to shoot the fluff in and then they got to pick out outfits and all! It was super fun! Then after we did that we had to do a little shopping for Nate and Ed and then we hit up In-N-Out and finished the day at the movies. It was so great spending the day with those guys, the boys really enjoyed it.

Christmas day was a very nice day, Ed and I stayed up kind of late getting the toys ready and watched It's a Wonderful life, but I didn't want to miss the kids walking out to their Fire station so I turned the monitor up as loud as it could go and as soon as we heard them stirring we jumped out of bed and beat them to living room by seconds ;) They were super excited over the fun things they got! Then we pretty much spent the day just lounging around, my dad and brother came over for a little bit and played with the boys and we did a Facetime Chat with mom and dad who were in Colorado, then we cleaned up and got ready for a very special treat...

We got to spend Christmas night with Jeremy, Steph and Addison! It was so nice, we exchanged all the stuff we had for each other and had dinner and just got to spend some time together before all their company started to come in. It was definitely a Christmas to remember!

Now these pics should be at the very top because this is really what kicked off the Christmas celebration so to speak, our church Christmas dinner at Diane's! Always a really fun time, every one brought delicious dishes and then we did a white elephant gift exchange!

Alright, then my dear sweet friend Diane whom we met through church and have become really close with, she was going to the bay area for 3 weeks to spend Christmas with her son and daughter-in-law so I wanted to have her over for dinner before she left. This was Dec. 20, the same night steph went into labor. So she came over and had dinner with us and then helped us do a little gingerbread house. We had a very nice visit with her which was good because the 3 weeks she was gone seemed like forever!

These pics are from Christmas Eve. We were able to get together with my side of the family and do our Christmas on Christmas eve. My uncle cooked a very fabulous lunch and then we did the gifts and watched a movie and had hot chocolate, it was a really great day we had so much fun!

Here's a video, that I think is pretty cute, of Mason opening his Voltron Force Action Figure thingy...

We also had nate and jen over to do our christmas thing with them and mason and joe were having too much fun, Joe let mason pull his hair and they both thought it was hilarious! So cute!

Christmas Lights

Right around thanksgiving, nate and jen and jeremy and steph were over and we talked about all hoping in a sunshine and rainbows van and going to look at Christmas lights... much to all of our surprise we made it happen! It was such a hilarious and fun night. We did just that, piled in the van, all 12 of us, drove up to reno and had dinner at a nice mexican restaurant, got some coffee and head out to a neighborhood that's known for all these extravagant lights. The lights were pretty impressive, we had to search around for the top 5 houses, so along the way we got out and took a few pictures! Really, really good time!!!

Mom's Birthday!

Well, every year for my mother-in-law's (aka my mom in many post) birthday I try to do something to show how how much she means to us. It's getting difficult to think of fun things to do but this year I made her cookies to spell out Happy Birthday in different colors and made a big breakfast that morning and we got her some things she's been talking about for awhile and even made her my first scarf which wasn't perfect but hey it's the thought that counts right? :) I think she enjoyed it all and I just hope she knows just how special she is!

The same weekend as mom's Birthday, Neil and Cassie and their family came up for a visit. It was really nice to see those guys, it had been like a year and half since we had last seen them. We had dinner over at Nate and Jen's one night and then had a lunch and pottery painting day too that was really fun. The kids all looked so much older and are changing by the minute so I'm glad we got to see them!
